David Power is in town this weekend

Maestro piper David Power is in Cork this weekend starting tomorrow at the Inkwell Theatre in Minane Bridge. Still some tickets available here. There will be plenty of music on the night, the blurb from their site:

Pipers Union – Masters of Tradition, support: Sconna

David Power, Ciaran Somers and Donal Clancy is a tight-knit trio which combines three-part harmony song and instrumental arrangements using guitars, bouzouki, mandolin, uilleann pipes, flutes, fiddles and whistles.

Sconna: Ultan Walsh, bouzouki, Julian Smith, flute and Daniel Carey, accordian
The Pipers Union play again on Sunday May 8th in the wonderful surroundings of Ballymaloe. Tickets available here.
I’ll be down in Minane Bridge when I’ll finally get my hands on David’s new CD, Apples in Winter.
