Eoin Dillon in Clonakilty Tonight

Just a quick note to let people know that Eoin Dillon of Kila fame is playing in De Barra’s in Clonakilty tonight. It’s well worth the trip down to Clon to see this piper play. Doors are at 9:30pm and cost €12.

Summer Term Starting May 1st

We are happy to announce that we are holding a short term of four weeks starting on Thursday May 1st. We are moving to a new venue, the Wilton SMA Hall. On this map, Wilton SMA Hall is directly in the middle. Instead of turning into CUH, you go the opposite direction where you will see a church. You need to go up the drive of the church where you will see the Wilton SMA Hall. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment, email Donal or ring either Donal or Veronica (assuming you have our numbers!). Classes will run from Thursday May 1 for 4 weeks and cost €50. Beginners will start at 730pm and advanced classes will begin at 830pm.

Enrolment for these classes is this Thursday, the 24th April between 7-8pm. If you can’t make this please get in contact.

Update: if you couldn’t make the enrolment, feel free to contact us before classes start next week.

Pipers Club Meeting on Thursday

We are meeting on Thursday the 28th at the Wilton Bar at 9:15pm to discuss possible venues for classes in the future. If you know of any bar/pub in town or near town who would be happy to house our classes, please get in touch. We need two rooms capable of holding at most 10 people each.

2008 Spring Term Starting

That’s right, the 2008 Spring term is starting this Thursday, the 31st January at Bishopstown Community School. If you haven’t already enrolled, please do so as soon as possible. You can ring the school on 021 4544311 but to be sure of your place you will need to call out to the school and pay in advance.

The club members are also meeting on Thursday evening directly after the class at 9.15pm in the Wilton bar. Feel free to come along and contribute. We will be discussing possible future venues for the club in light of the ongoing difficulties with our old venue in town.
